Does your skin constantly feel irritated, tight, red or reactive no matter how many products you try?
Do most facials leave your skin feeling hot, inflamed or uncomfortable afterwards instead of calm and healthy?
Have you been told your skin simply needs “stronger treatments” — yet every time you try active skincare, your skin becomes even more reactive?
You are not alone.
At Le Beauty and Skincare, we regularly see clients who feel frustrated, overwhelmed and exhausted by their skin.
Many have spent years trying:
Harsh exfoliants
Strong acids
Aggressive acne products
Retinol layering
Trending skincare routines
“Active” facials
Overcomplicated product regimens
only to end up with:
Chronic redness
Dehydration
Irritation
Stinging
Reactive breakouts
Visible inflammation
Skin that suddenly “cannot tolerate anything anymore”
For many of these clients, the issue is not that the skin needs more correction.
The issue is that the skin barrier is overwhelmed.
That is exactly why we created our Sensitive Skin Recovery Facial - a clinically guided treatment designed specifically for reactive, inflammation-prone and compromised skin.
This is not a traditional beauty facial focused on aggressive exfoliation or dramatic short-term results.
It is a structured recovery treatment designed to help calm the skin, rebuild resilience and restore healthier skin function over time.
Why Sensitive Skin Needs A Completely Different Approach
One of the biggest mistakes we see in the skincare industry is treating sensitive skin the same way as resilient skin.
Sensitive skin behaves differently.
Once the skin barrier becomes compromised, the skin loses its ability to properly:
- Retain hydration
- Regulate inflammation
- Defend against environmental stress
- Recover from irritation
- Tolerate active ingredients
- Maintain comfort and balance
This often creates a cycle where the skin becomes progressively more reactive over time.
Clients commonly experience:
- Persistent redness
- Flushing
- Tightness after cleansing
- Stinging from skincare products
- Dehydration
- Reactive breakouts
- Visible inflammation
- Sensitivity to weather changes, stress or exercise
- Reduced tolerance to treatments they once handled well
At this stage, pushing the skin harder rarely produces better results. Instead, the skin often needs support, recovery and careful rebuilding.
Why Most Facials Make Sensitive Skin Worse
Many facials are designed around stimulation.
That may include:
aggressive exfoliation
excessive steaming
strong acid application
harsh extraction techniques
friction-heavy massage
over-layering active ingredients
heat-based stimulation
For healthy resilient skin, these treatments may be tolerated well.
But for compromised or reactive skin, they can increase:
inflammation
vascular reactivity
dehydration
barrier damage
prolonged redness
irritation
skin sensitivity
This is why some clients feel their skin looks worse after treatments instead of healthier.
At Le Beauty and Skincare, our philosophy is intentionally different.
Our Sensitive Skin Recovery Facial follows a conservative dermal approach focused on:
calming the skin first
rebuilding barrier integrity
reducing inflammation
improving hydration retention
supporting skin recovery pathways
strengthening long-term skin resilience
Because healthy skin function always comes before aggressive correction.
The Emotional Side Of Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin is not just a cosmetic concern.
For many people, it affects confidence daily.
Clients often tell us they feel:
embarrassed by redness
frustrated by constant irritation
confused about what products are safe
afraid to try facials again
overwhelmed by conflicting skincare advice
tired of spending money on products that burn their skin
Some avoid makeup completely because the skin feels uncomfortable.
Others constantly switch products hoping something will finally “fix” the irritation.
Many become trapped in a cycle of:
Over-treatment → irritation → barrier disruption → increased sensitivity → stronger treatments → more irritation
One of the most important things we do during consultation is help clients understand that sensitive skin usually cannot be bullied into improving.
The skin often needs support, not aggression.
A More Intelligent Approach To Skin Recovery
Our Sensitive Skin Recovery Facial is built around advanced treatment customisation and skin mixology therapy.
This means your treatment is never performed using a rigid “one facial for everyone” approach.
Instead, your clinician carefully adjusts:
treatment intensity
exfoliation level
hydration support
calming therapies
recovery protocols
antioxidant support
finishing products
according to how your skin presents on the day.
This allows us to work with the skin rather than against it.
What Is Mixology Therapy?
Mixology therapy is one of the key features that makes this treatment different from traditional facials.
Rather than relying on a single product line or fixed protocol, we strategically combine different professional formulations according to:
skin sensitivity
inflammation levels
dehydration severity
barrier condition
redness patterns
congestion
skin tolerance
This allows us to create highly personalised recovery-focused treatments for different sensitive skin presentations including:
redness-prone skin
reactive dehydration
stressed skin barriers
sensitised acne conditions
environmentally reactive skin
post-overexfoliation skin
inflammation-prone skin
The treatment may incorporate different combinations of:
calming therapies
hydration-focused treatments
controlled enzymatic exfoliation
antioxidant support
oxygenating protocols
cooling recovery masks
barrier repair therapy
LED recovery support
depending on what your skin genuinely needs.
This flexibility is extremely important because sensitive skin is rarely identical from one client to another.
The Science Behind Sensitive Skin Recovery
Healthy skin depends heavily on a functional skin barrier.
The skin barrier acts as the skin’s protective shield.
When it becomes impaired, the skin loses hydration more easily and becomes increasingly vulnerable to:
environmental stress
irritation
inflammation
bacteria
reactive flare-ups
dehydration
This process is commonly associated with increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL), where moisture escapes too quickly from the skin.
Our Sensitive Skin Recovery Facial focuses heavily on supporting:
hydration retention
lipid balance
controlled skin renewal
inflammation reduction
antioxidant defence
skin recovery pathways
barrier resilience
Rather than aggressively resurfacing the skin, we focus on helping the skin function better long term.
For many sensitive clients, this creates healthier and more sustainable results.
What Is Included In The Sensitive Skin Recovery Facial?
Comprehensive Clinical Skin Consultation
Every treatment begins with a detailed skin consultation performed by our dermal clinician or aesthetic nurse.
This is one of the most important parts of the treatment because sensitive skin requires careful assessment before selecting any treatment modalities or active ingredients.
We assess:
barrier integrity
hydration levels
inflammation patterns
visible redness
sensitivity triggers
congestion and texture
previous reactions
lifestyle factors
environmental stress
current skincare products
This allows us to determine what your skin can safely tolerate while minimising unnecessary stimulation.
Tailored Double Cleanse
Your treatment begins with a gentle but effective cleansing process designed to remove impurities without disrupting the skin barrier.
Unlike harsh cleansing systems that leave the skin tight and stripped, our approach focuses on:
maintaining hydration
protecting lipid balance
reducing post-cleansing irritation
minimising reactive sensitivity
This creates a safer foundation for the rest of the treatment.
Functional Skin Therapy
Professional calming and antioxidant-rich formulations are selected according to your skin condition to help:
reduce visible redness
calm reactive skin
support hydration
minimise inflammation
strengthen barrier comfort
improve skin resilience
Because different sensitive skin types require different approaches, your treatment may be adjusted throughout the appointment depending on how your skin responds.
Controlled Enzyme Therapy
Many sensitive skin clients are afraid of exfoliation after previous negative experiences.
However, healthy skin still requires controlled renewal.
Instead of harsh resurfacing, we use carefully selected enzyme therapies designed to:
soften excess buildup gently
improve hydration penetration
support circulation
brighten dull skin safely
reduce congestion gradually
improve skin texture without aggressive peeling
This helps maintain healthier skin function without overwhelming the barrier.
Cooling Recovery Therapy
Once the skin has been gently prepared, customised recovery masks and calming therapies are layered strategically to deeply comfort and replenish the skin.
These treatment stages may focus on:
cooling inflammation
restoring hydration
reducing visible redness
antioxidant support
calming reactive flare-ups
improving barrier comfort
supporting skin recovery
This is often the moment clients visibly notice the skin beginning to calm and soften.
Oxygenating & Recovery Support
For suitable clients, oxygenating treatment technologies may also be incorporated to support:
skin clarity
circulation
inflammation reduction
recovery support
congested sensitive skin
These protocols are always adjusted conservatively according to skin tolerance.
LED Light Therapy
Medical-grade LED therapy is included to support healing and inflammation reduction without physically stressing the skin.
Unlike aggressive treatments that rely on heat or mechanical stimulation, LED works through therapeutic light energy.
LED therapy may help:
reduce redness
calm inflammation
support barrier recovery
improve healing response
support stressed skin conditions
improve overall skin resilience
This makes it particularly beneficial for sensitive and reactive skin clients.
Barrier Repair Finishing Therapy
The treatment concludes with customised barrier-supportive finishing therapy designed to:
lock in hydration
minimise moisture loss
reduce irritation
protect vulnerable skin
improve skin comfort
support long-term recovery
Every finishing layer is selected according to your skin condition and tolerance level.
More Than A Facial - A Long-Term Recovery Plan
One of the biggest reasons sensitive skin continues to worsen is incorrect homecare.
Many clients unknowingly overuse:
exfoliants
acids
retinol
acne treatments
active layering
stripping cleansers
As part of your treatment, your clinician may help:
simplify your skincare routine
identify irritation triggers
reduce unnecessary actives
improve hydration support
correct product combinations
rebuild skin tolerance gradually
For many clients, this becomes one of the most transformative parts of the journey.

Pricing
Single session $179. Most clients see strongest results from a course — pre-paid courses available with meaningful per-session savings.
Packages are pre-paid and valid for 12 months. Every session includes professional skin analysis and a skincare review — your homecare prescription evolves as your skin does.
How to start
Every new client starts with a consult — 30 minutes, structured, no pressure to book. We assess your skin in person, understand your history, and confirm the Skin Soothe Ritual is the right tier for you. If a different tier suits your skin better, we'll tell you. The consult is where the safety and personalisation live.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Skin Soothe Ritual the same as the Skin Reset Ritual?
No. The Skin Reset Ritual is the standard foundation treatment for most new clients — barrier-supportive, hydrating, with a wider range of enzyme options and an optional gentle peel. The Skin Soothe Ritual is a dedicated tier for sensitive, reactive and rosacea-prone skin — Cocoa enzyme only, no peels, signature microbiome mask, red LED only. They're parallel tiers, not steps on the same ladder.
Can I have this treatment if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes. The Skin Soothe Ritual is appropriate during pregnancy and breastfeeding without major modification. We confirm details at consult. Many of our pregnant and breastfeeding clients use this as their main professional facial throughout.
Will I stay at the Soothe tier forever, or will I move on?
Both outcomes are equally valid. Some clients stabilise enough across 4–8 Soothe sessions to step up to the Skin Reset or Skin Correction tier. Other clients live at the Soothe tier long-term because that's what their skin responds best to. The choice is clinical — we re-assess every visit.
My skin reacts to almost everything. Is this still safe for me?
Your consult is where we identify exactly what your skin is reactive to. We don't apply anything we haven't reviewed with you. Cocoa, citrus, raspberry seed and tree nut allergies are all relevant to Circadia product selection, and we cross-check before every visit. If your skin has historically reacted to standard facials, the Soothe Ritual is the protocol designed for you.
How long until I see results?
Most clients notice calmer, less reactive, more comfortable-feeling skin from the first session. The more meaningful improvement in barrier function and reactivity typically develops across the foundation course of 4–8 sessions.
Do I still need to use sunscreen every day?
Yes — every day, no exceptions. SPF is even more important for sensitive and rosacea-prone skin than for other presentations. UV is one of the most common triggers for flushing and barrier disruption. We'll recommend a sunscreen calibrated to your tolerance, often mineral.
Can I have this if I'm on prescription topicals from my GP or dermatologist?
In most cases, yes — we coordinate carefully. Bring details of your current prescriptions to your consult so we can plan around them. We don't adjust your medical treatment; we work alongside it.
How is this different from a relaxation facial at a spa?
A standard spa facial is primarily a relaxation experience with skincare overlaid. The Skin Soothe Ritual is a clinical treatment delivered by a registered cosmetic nurse and dermal clinician, using professional Circadia products that aren't available at retail. Every step is selected for its specific effect on barrier function, microbiome support and skin reactivity. The relaxation element is part of the protocol — but the protocol itself is structured clinical work.
If you've been searching for this
There's a particular weariness that comes with sensitive skin — the trial-and-error of products, the disappointment of treatments, the feeling that you're somehow getting it wrong. You're not getting it wrong. Your skin is doing exactly what sensitive skin does. What it needs is a protocol designed for it, and a clinician who isn't going to push you through tiers you don't belong in.
That's what the Skin Soothe Ritual is. We'd love to see you.
